Cher (1985)

In 1985, Tom was introduced to Cher at Madonna and Sean Penn's wedding in Malibu. 

Afterwards, they crossed paths once more during a White House occasion that aimed to promote knowledge about dyslexia and immediately started a passionate and intense relationship.

Cher recounted in an interview with Event magazine in 2018 that she and Tom were both dyslexic and had been invited to the White House along with other dyslexic individuals. There was a connection between us, but we didn't go out until much later.

Mimi Rogers (1887-1990)

On May 9, 1987, Tom entered into matrimony with his initial spouse, Mimi Rogers. 

The couple were not fated to be together since they parted ways three years after their marriage. 

When Tom spoke to Rolling Stone in 1987 about his marriage, he stated that he had not experienced love prior. Being with her has made me more open than I used to be. In my opinion, it has improved my acting skills. We spend a significant amount of time sharing our lives with each other. My best friend and I have a close relationship where we share everything.

Nicole Kidman (1990-2001)

During the production of Days of Thunder (1990), Tom encountered Nicole Kidman who became his second spouse. Before tying the knot on December 24 of that same year and welcoming two kids, Isabella (born 1992) and Connor (born 1995), the couple experienced a fast and intense love affair.

After ending their marriage in two years, they were reunited for the 1999 erotic thriller Eyes Wide Shut.

After they divorced in 1999, the former couple reunited on screen for the erotic thriller, Eyes Wide Shut, which was produced in the same year, and parted ways just a couple of years after.

When Nicole was unaware that she was pregnant, Tom submitted a divorce petition. Initially, the pregnancy seemed to have terminated in a miscarriage, but in 2007, Nicole explained that it was actually an ectopic pregnancy


Penelope Cruz (2001-2004)

Tom and Penelope Cruz crossed paths during the filming of Vanilla Sky in 2000, but Tom claims that they did not embark on a romantic relationship until 2001, after he had ended his marriage to Nicole.

In an interview with The Telegraph, he stated that he has never developed romantic feelings for a colleague. The occurrence has consistently been reported

Tom mentioned in a Marie Claire interview back in 2003 about the small gestures he enjoyed doing for the Spanish beauty.

He stated that when she returns home, he would prepare her favorite food and have a bath ready for her. I enjoy engaging in activities of that nature. I prepare meals for her because she enjoys the taste of my cooking. The small aspects are what I appreciate about a relationship.

In 2004, they eventually went in different directions.


Nazanin Boniadi (2004-2005)

she was linked from 2004 to 2005. From November 2004 through January 2005, Tom and British actress Nazanin Boniadi were in a romantic relationship.

According to a Vanity Fair article published later, the leaders of Scientology had initiated a covert operation to find a new girlfriend for Tom Cruise following his break up with Penelope.

According to the article, Nazanin was chosen to be his girlfriend after a sequence of 'tryouts' but afterwards, she departed from Scientology.

These claims were denied by both Tom and the Church of Scientology with great emphasis.

Katie Holmes (2005-2012)

Tom entered into one of his most publicly recognized romantic liaisons in April 2005 when he initiated a romantic relationship with Katie Holmes.

In that month, the duo showed up together for the first time in Rome and were swiftly nicknamed 'TomKat' by the media.

During a live appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Tom expressed his affection for Katie and jubilantly bounced on the sofa to commemorate their romantic bond.

April 2006 was the month that Tom and Katie brought their daughter Suri into the world. In November, the pair tied the knot in a Scientology ceremony that took place at the Odescalchi Castle located in Bracciano, Italy.

In June 2012, Katie initiated the divorce proceedings, and Tom subsequently admitted that her decision was influenced by her intention to safeguard their daughter, Suri, from Scientology.
