Paul Walker's Brother Cody Names His Newborn Son After Him

He stated that it was crucial for the name to "carry on" because it dates back four generations.

Actor Paul Walker passed away ten years ago this November, but his younger brother Cody Walker is giving his newborn kid the name Paul Walker to honour him.

Cody, whose wife Felicia gave birth on April 30, revealed the name Paul Barrett "Bear" Walker for their son. 

"This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt now was the appropriate time to share the news," the 34-year-old said in a statement to People. Caleb, my brother, and I are both done having kids. Paul William Walker IV, my brother, is the fourth generation to have that name.

 Even though he swiftly outgrew his father's height, he was known in the family as "little Paul" or "Paul 4." It was crucial to me that that name lives on, he continued.

Additionally, Cody and Felicia are parents to a 2-year-old son named Colt and a 5-year-old daughter named Remi. They left the decision of what name to choose till after the delivery before learning the sex of each of their children.

The name is a wonderful tribute to Paul's family and memory, who died in a vehicle accident in 2013 at the age of 40.

The actor gained widespread recognition for his role as Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movie series, which debuted with the first film in 2001. Throughout his illustrious career, he also appeared in movies like Pleasantville, She's All That, Varsity Blues, Flags of Our Fathers, and others.

The most recent Fast & Furious film, Fast X, will be released on May 19. Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker, even made a cameo appearance in the film in memory of her late father.
